Gotta have ANOTHER endoscopy

As well as a colonoscopy next month. Now I know what to expect I’m slightly dreading it as the sedation did nothing last time. Can I request a higher sedation?

I would definitely ask if I was you. I also really struggled with endoscopy. The Dr said I wouldn’t remember it with the sedative and I would be calm throughout. I was violently gagging and retching for the whole procedure and felt really fragile and almost assaulted afterwards (obviously I know I wasn’t and the dr was doing his job).

Colonoscopy was fine for me, I did get more sedative during the procedure as I felt uncomfortable but it was never more than uncomfortable and I was very relaxed.

I guess I’ll discuss it when they do the telephone appointment and then again when I see them.

The sedation truly did nothing last time. It didn’t relax me at all
