Currently awaiting a private root canal treatment (have been needing it for a couple of months) but in the last couple of days the tooth (which hasn't really previously been too troublesome other than pain whilst drinking cold drinks) has starter to become painful, or rather the area all around it. Applying pressure eg biting causes pain that lingers but also have a pain along gum/jaw. Constantly feels like a pressure underneath it. I can also feel some swelling on the roof of my mouth at that side (as through its filled with liquid). I am due to have my consultation about the root canal on monday, but would I need to be seen this weekend will the swelling etc? I get so paranoid about infection spreading 🙈 any advice?
