Unable to get meds

The last few weeks have been unable to get prescribed meds. The chemists are telling me that for 1 prescription they have not been able to get the product for over a year. Is this something to do with Brexit?

Unlikely to do with Brexit. The medication could have been discontinued or replaced with something else. Have you told you GP you are unable to get your medication?

You just need to tell your GP and they'll prescribe something else.

I am still waiting to hear from the GP about another med. It's been 2 days now.

Depends what medicine you can't get. Actually Brexit may be part of it, or it could be that demand has outstripped supply and there is none now until the manufacturer gets round to it in their production cycle.

I’m not sure about the ‘nothing to do with Brexit’ line. I’m not aware of this happening with anything like the same regularity or being anywhere as widespread before Brexit.

Either way, if you’re running out of the med and the GP haven’t yet come up with an alternative, you should chase them up and ask them to sort you a script asap.

It is to do with Brexit. There are increased customs regulations and delays getting through customs itself.

How would anyone know since you haven't said what meds are involved?
