Recurring tonsillitis

I was wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation. Iv been having recurring tonsillitis since April (8 times) ended up in emergency room twice due to temp and dehydration for IV antibiotics. 6weeks ago my GP finally referred me to see the ENT. I have an appoint Friday! But what should I expect? I was told in A&E they are unable to remove my tonsils until I'm infection free but since April Iv only had the odd week's were I haven't been on antibiotics... I feel like i'm constantly poorly and constantly taking antibiotics

I had mine removed 9 years ago and was very similar situation. I ended up on a low dose antibiotic for about 4 months to make sure I was infection free (basically the whole time I was on the waiting list).

I thought this might be a possible outcome. Thank you xx
