Should I panic?? Blood thinner issue

I've been on blood thinners for a year after a clot in my leg.
Stupidly didn't put my repeat prescription in, ran out at the weekend, and now my period is here.....
Usually it's horrendous anyway , but should I worry that I won't have any blood thinners till Friday?

Your period won’t make any difference.

you can ring 111 and they will sort out an emergency prescription which you can pick up tablets today to keep you going till Friday. I’ve done this for DD’s blood thinners before. She’s also meant to be on them for life, however she hasn’t taken any for weeks now as she is too disorganised to sort repeat prescriptions out.

I'm on mine for life, 1st time I've not picked them up on time... life got in the way I don't have time to grab an emergency prescription I'll just wait till Friday

When did you take your last tablet ? Are you on Rivaroxaban or Apixaban?
