Loose-ish socks leaving a mark around calves - a sign of anything?

I know this sounds a bit mad, but my loose socks are leaving an imprint in my calf skin, around the top. It's actually quite imprinted. I was sure that I'd read somewhere ages it could be a sign of something.

It happens often. Should I be worried?

Poor circulation? It could be a sign of fluid accumulation in your legs which can happen if your body isn’t pumping blood back up to the heart efficiently enough. It can go hand in hand with things like varicose veins. It’s more common in women, in people who are overweight, in people who work on their feet a lot, and in pregnant women and it gets more likely as we get older too. Some people wear compression stocking which can control it well.

Thanks - yes, no oedema. And I'm not obese, working on my feet etc - maybe poor circulation, but have no symptoms of this
