Hey this isy first post ever.
I have health anxiety and am in mid 30s I had a colonoscopy and 7 polyps were found 5 hyperplastic and 2 adenomas, all removed no doctor was concerned only have to have another In five years, doctor said lifestyle most likely cause as was a smoker and use to drink quite a bit in younger years.
So doctors not worried but I come home and Google and all I can see is multiple polyps seem to have no other reason from Dr Google other than a syndrome.
Basically looking for anyone else out there with multiple polyps or is it just me!
Thank you!!

I would just go by what the doctors say. If they are not worried then you shouldn't be either (I say this as a fellow professional Googler with health anxiety, so I get it!).

But as you could see , Google didn't bring anything up, it is just one of those things.

I've had one polyp removed (mid 30s), regular colonoscopies since and never had another one.

My dad has about 5 removed a year, but he's mid 70s and perfectly healthy still. Try to put it out of your mind. I also feel quite lucky to be having the regular colonoscopies so if I ever develop anything it would be spotted early, so it's actually a positive!

Thank you so much for your lovely reply. It's ridiculous really that I take more notice.of.google than the actual doctor.

Has your dad had them for years?
Thanks again 😌

Yes probably first noticed in his 30s too although it's only recently he's had some yearly, it was just on and off before. He is the healthiest person I know!

You're probably in a bit of a shock right now, I remember when I was told after my colonoscopy that they removed a polyp and I started crying! The doctor looked VERY confused haha I cringe when I remember it now. It was just the unknown !

I know definately shocked, even though I'm always worrying I was so surprised it seemed like so many (especially when googling)
Thank you so much for your reply it's.made me feel so much better and glad your Dad is still really healthy 🙌
