Should I go to the doctor with fungal skin infection

I developed a rash in the inside of my leg a few months ago. It's absolutely without a shadow of a doubt looks like ringworm. Everything about the rash looks like it.

I bought over the counter creams. My issue is that I was never consisitent at using the cream. I would go through some good spells where I would apply it regularly but then I would skip applications during the day due to work and then other times maybe a day or two would go by before I think about it again.

I still have the rash. I think the warm humid spell a few weeks ago didn't help and now it's bigger on my inside thigh.

I know one option I could do is to buy several tubes of the over the counter cream and put them everywhere - in the bathroom, in my bedroom, in my work bag and maybe that might help me to reapply regularly to get rid of the rash.

Or should I just go to the doctor and get something stronger.

I think you need to have a go being more consistent first. Then if it doesn't go after 2 weeks call a doctor or see if a pharmacist can prescribe anything stronger. I should think anything a doctor prescribed would need to be consistently applied too.

Thank you, you are right. The solution is just after arriving to me. I will get a crossover body bumbag and put in the cream and just have it on me everyday so that I can apply it several times a day.

Hello,

I started becoming somewhat consistent with applying the over the counter cream to the rash. I started on Wednesday about the 21st of September. I did that 3 times a day for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Then I came into the weekend and I was so busy, it went down to about once or twice a day last weekend. Then in work all week, it's back to 3 times a day.

I find it hard to see how this will clear up within the next few more days. It says 14 days in the instructions. Just wondering if I should be booking an appointment with the doctor for something stronger now at this stage?
