Hi guys, I always find peace in reading others experiences etc. first I’ll add I am 28, had a baby 7mths ago, suffer from health anxiety & for the past few weeks my Gp has been on holiday, so next appt is just less than 2 weeks away on the 28th, but recently I thought I felt a lump in my breast, not too big and smooth but firm If that makes sense. I am religious monthly at checking etc so found it weird I hadn’t felt it only maybe two weeks ago. But I get obsessed and upset and panic so the other day I prodded and prodded and then noticed a dimpling but almost looks like a finger print & really dunno how I wouldn’t have noticed this before. Ofc now I am up the walls with worry and just wondering if I could’ve caused that myself: area was quite swollen and still bruised If that helps. Any advice or words would be so appreciated:(

Sorry just seeing your post

the best way to reassure yourself is going to the Gp

9 out of 10 lumps are usually benign and the dent maybe from pressing too much on it

hope you are ok x

I saw a consultant yesterday & he was happy and not concerned. But going to order me an ultrasound for the next few weeks just for peace of mind also so fingers crossed 🤞 x

Ok glad to hear that . hopefully it would be good news x

OP, How did it go with the ultrasound? I have the same thing and super worried. I have an appointment with the Dr tomorrow

Healthfreak95 · 03/01/2024 21:54

@Worriedmamaof3 so all checked out okay but I was in the same worried terrified position it took over my life! With health anxiety it is tough but I had to try to keep thinking it’s most likely a simple reason, turns out it was just normal tissue and glandular tissue changes from pregnancy most likely they say! Best of luck xx
