hand foot and mouth disease and pregnancy?

Ds had his first day at nursery today. They had a sign on the door saying they had recently had a hand foot and mouth outbread and to be vigilant for signs. I could hardly turn on my heel and leave with ds, so he stayed, and i did too, as it was his first morning. Getting worried now as i am 31 weeks pregnant and i searched the archives here and someone was saying their friend lost her baby at 32 weeks due to hand foot and mouth. anyone had it whilst pregnant? Was the baby ok?

Dd ahd it when I was pg so I did a fair bit of research - most adults are already immune and as far as I could find out there were no definite links between catching the virus when pregnant and the baby being harmed. HTH

My ds had it when I was about 36 weeks pregnant. I didn't catch it and neither did dd or dp but when I thought I might neither the consultant, the doctor or the mw seemed bothered so I figured it couldn't be too bad.
