Weird sickness bug?

Has anyone had a bug where they don't feel nauseous but then a feeling that you are about to vomit suddenly comes in waves? So weird! I keep running to the loo with the throat constructing, salivary puke feeling, bit am not sick, and then feel fine. I have a cracking headache too.

I had this recently as did my husband and we felt it was a very mild food poisoning episode. Evidence being we had had barbecue meat which wasn’t well cooked!

My son was like this - he had covid, maybe worth testing.

Last time I had something like that I was pregnant.

It's covid. I spoke with colleagues at the hospital trust and this is very much how this recent covid strain is presenting.
