Hi I've been suffering with a swollen foot for nearly a month, lots of tests no specific outcome but my blood results have shown up on an app for my doctors as ALT 77 which I believe is raised. Any experience of this and limb swelling?

As far as I am aware, an ALT level of under 100 is only mildly raised and all kinds of things can cause it so I wouldn’t worry about it too much. I’ve had raised ALT levels higher than that and no-one was particularly worried. Are you taking painkillers for your foot, by any chance? I think they can raise levels a bit.

Have you had CRP and other inflammatory markers done for your foot? Could it be gout or some kind of inflammatory arthritis? Worth asking your doctor about.

Hi thank you for the reassurance, I've had lots of bloods taken, an X-ray and a scan on the back of my leg to check for a dvt, which didn't show anything. It happened spontaneously on a flight but they have concluded its an injury. I was given antibiotics for a week initially.
