Insect bites on baby

Laserbeam24 · 11/09/2023 12:10

I noticed my baby had what appeared to be a sting on her face. This morning, she's woken up with 2 bites just above her bum. She has 3 layers on at bedtime, so would be hard for a bedbug to infiltrate. There is also no evidence of bedbugs.

No evidence of fleas either. What could these be?

Heat rash from the 3 layers

That looks like sweat spots to me.

Are you in the UK? If so, why 3 layers in this heat? It's very muggy at night. Have you been going to bed wearing 2 layers?

Yes DD has been having a lot of those recently with the hot weather. Definitely sweat spots in her case. Individual angry spots in places, full on sweat rash in others (all around her neck).

Don't come for me, it's literally 10°c here at nighttime. It's a thin sleep sack. We aren't getting the same heatwave that the rest of the UK is 🤣

But thank you.

@DustyLee123 @hdbs17 it's 10°c outside. The wind is 15mph. It's not muggy in the slightest, it's drizzling with rain. My bedroom is currently 18°c at 01:40. I have single glazed windows.

Baby is in a vest, sleep suit and 1 tog sleep bag. Let's not judge eh? 🥰
