Hi all. Wondering if someone could shed some light.

My partner started vomiting with diarrhoea Thursday morning. Lasted all day and then myself started on the night. Didn't last until Morning thankfully and now I feel fine. However, OH felt ill friday but no D/or V and also felt the same yesterday. Very lethargic and has felt sick but nothing came of it. This morning he has been sick again? Is this normal for it to come back? Could it be something else?

Ive had it in the past and it’s awful. It can take a little while for you to feel back to normal. It really can make you feel rundown, with no energy. It put me off eating for a week and I was only having slices of plain toast.

Has he eaten anything that could have upset his stomach further? I’d give it a couple of days to run it’s course and if you’re still being sick after 3-4 days then I’d contact the gp.

Whej my little one caught it, the gp advised us that it could linger for 10 days.

@Hiddenvoice he has felt fine and then I think eating has made him feel sick again. So I'm not sure if something has not sat right with him.

10 days!!! 😭 will he be contagious for that long?

I was told that I needed to be 48 hours clear of sickness and diarrhoea before interacting with others again. My little one stopped having d but had a really unsettled stomach.

Id probably encourage you both to drink loads, ice lollies are a saviour for when you’re not hungry and just eat very small, plain meals. He may have just eaten too much or something that’s not sat right with him after being unwell.
