Blood pressure 101/47

It's hot and I ran a half marathon which started at 10:30 (so running in the middle of the day) today.

I took it easy, much slower than my normal time but it was tough.

I don't feel great. A bit queasy and headache, dizziness when I stand up. I don't have a temperature and I'm not sweating.

I have had lots of liquids, sugar, some salty snacks.

My resting heart rate is 75, when it usually runs at 41, but it would normally be higher while I recover from an event.

I've had low blood pressure all my life, but not this low.

Obviously it's the result of the stupid thing I did this morning, which will take some time to recover from, but how low is too low?

It's low but not dangerously so, just be careful with the standing up if you are feeling dizzy. Sounds like you could be dehydrated despite the fluids, I would try a proper rehydration drink and keep up with normal fluids. Hopefully with a good rest you will be feeling more yourself tomorrow.

I agree with this and would add that you eat a banana if you can as well as salty snacks and sweet fluids, until you can get some proper rehydration powder frim the chemist.
Bananas contain potassium which you need as well as sodium.

Your heart rate is high while your Bp is low to try to keep blood moving around so that’s normal. As your heart rate decreases your BP will increase. Or vice verse. Rehydrate and rest. I’m sure it will be fine tomorrow.

Dehydration plummets my blood pressure and makes me dizzy too - I've really struggled today after two days in a large meeting room with no aircon. There's probably a little bit of general heat exhaustion too - brains really don't like to be cooked. I think you replace the fluid pretty quickly but not the electrolytes/salt so it can take time to get back to normal.
