Cellulitis/ insect bite/what is going on???

Had this weird blister appear 48 hours ago on the side of my foot and has gradually got more and more swollen/ bruised and painful. I didn't notice getting stung or bitten and its definitely not a blister from friction (shoes etc). Hurts a bit to walk but not too bad. Anyone have any suggestion what's going on?

It looks like it is tracking up your foot. Could it be a false widow spider bite?

i would get it checked out i have something similar after being bitten on the back of my ankle 3 weeks ago- my gp was useless so went to the walk in centre and they have given me antibiotics as they think its an infection under the skin- although its not painful its very itchy and tingling- draw round it with a pen to make sure its not spreading and try and anti histamine tablet to see if it takes it down for now x

You need to get that checked out. I ended up in hospital with cellulitis, sepsis and having to have surgery to remove flesh after being bitten. That bite is tracking and if you get antibiotics early enough they’ll get on top of the infection. Draw a line round it and call your emergency out of hours, don’t be me and leave it for a few hours.

Thanks all. I went to urgent care today as I'd developed a fever and was feeling faint and generally unwell and it was tracking more.
I had some IV antibiotics and I'm home with orals now.
