BRIGHT yellow snot??

Weird question but I developed a sore throat about three weeks ago now (it was swollen, not rough). Around ten days ago developed into bit of a cold and cough.
Slowly feeling a bit better but my snot from my left side, where the swollen glands were is bright golden yellow! Like honey! It’s the brightest yellowest snot I have ever seen.
Is this just a “normal” virus? or is something bad happening in there??

anyone have/had similar?

(Tested for covid as was attending a work event and it was negative twice four days apart).

Mine was like that when I had a sinus infection years ago
Was like highlighter colour

Did you need AB? Or did you shake it off yourself?

Same when I had sinusitis, I had ABx but felt very unwell with it, like I had an axe in my head/face.

I don't think I did it think it just went away

But yeah the pain from it is like nothing else

A few years ago, I had a cold then about 3 days after it had gone, I started with bright yellow snot. I was at the drs for something else and casually just asked. She said it was a sinus infection and I was given antibiotics for it. I also had mad pressure in my cheekbones when I bent over, which is a sign your sinuses are playing up.

Sinuses! I had it when I was pregnant and then once it released it all came out at once… gross

Sounds satisfying AF though?
