Good evening, I am due to have a minor procedure at the weekend ( groin hernia repair ) nice and straight forward op, wont take long etc etc.. however this past week or so I’ve had a uti, will be finishing my last antibiotic tablets in the morning, and symptoms have slightly improved but I’m still sore and uncomfortable so think I may need to see my GP again tomorrow for another urine test ( hopefully they will send this one off ) and perhaps more antibiotics.
Does anyone know if my procedure would be cancelled because of this? I’m not currently ‘unwell’ but feel uncomfortable and would like to feel 100% for the op… I’ve waited a long long time for this.
does anyone have any advice or been through something similar regarding a minor op and having a uti or something similar that required antibiotics and if it needed to be cancelled. Of course I will speak to the hospital if I get any worse.
