Hi all

I know I can't be diagnosed online but was after some advice as I am feeling quite anxious

I have had this for a year now but in all honesty haven't paid attention to it (stupid I know) it hasn't changed I don't think but wasn't there before

I will call the GP tomorrow but in the meantime does anybody have something similar to this that turned out to be nothing?

Thanks in advance

I would send the photo to your GP. They will refer you to a dermatologist if they deem it necessary. I had a mole removed a couple of years ago. It wasn’t malignant but in the dermatologists opinion had the potential to become so.

Thank you @AnnieFarmer I will ring up tomorrow and hopefully get an appointment soon, glad you had yours removed!

Hope all is well, op?

Everything OK?

I have this on my left hand but it's a small dot. I think I noticed it earlier this year, thought it was odd but didn't think anything of it. I've been keeping an eye on it though.

Hi @mumsnoangel and @ChonkySloth thank you for checking in! So I went to see the GP and he referred me to dermatology. He sent pictures off and said he personally doesn't think it's melanoma but as I am concerned he will refer me.
I got a letter from dermatology saying if I don't hear back by a certain date this month I can ring them for an update so will be calling this week! Will definitely update here again x

How old are you? People can get innocent new moles in young adulthood - and later, though I think the older you are, the more worth checking out a new mole is.

The picture's quite blurry but I do think it's wise having that checked out.

Galaxy2846 · 16/11/2023 20:06

@ShoesoftheWorld I am 29. Yes i'm glad I got it looked at. Haven't heard anything back yet so will be chasing it up. Hoping no news is good news

@mumsnoangel @dancingdaisies sorry I have been meaning to update. I rang up and was told I am on a waiting list to be seen at the hospital. Not sure how long that could be :(
