I've name changed for this.
I was diagnosed with PCOS following an ultrasound in July and after much deliberation, decided to try the mirena coil to settle down some of the symptoms I've been having. I had it inserted on Thursday and the nurse said I must be starting my period as there was a bit of blood (it's irregular and i always feel grumpy at the moment so didn't know myself!)
I had 2 good days with light spotting, low grade headache and light cramping then felt fine and the next day I suddenly started a really heavy period with regular and bigger than normal blood clots. I did have heavy periods and clots before but this seems worse. I've taken photos to send to the doctor but just wanted to see whether this is normal as I know the lining of my uterus is shedding or whether I should be worrying more?
