Armpit lump

Whilst our for a family meal tonight, I found a lump in my left armpit. It felt like when you are getting a spot, and I touched it and felt a lump. It feels like a garden pea, maybe oval. No redness. How long before I get it checked at the GP? I check for lumps each month. Reckon a did a check about 3 weeks ago in the shower too.

Armpit lumps come under the remit of urgent GP appointment as breast tissue can extend that far.

Please see a GP this week OP

Definitely see the GP. It's probably a blocked pore or an underwired bra that's causing it. But it needs checking

NHS guidance is to see a GP if the lump is still there after 2 weeks or is painful red/hot or it's hard and doesn't move.

Otherwise it's likely to be fine. I looked this up only the other day as I had one - but its gone already so I didn't see the GP.

It's probably just a swollen gland.

I'd call on Monday and ask for an appointment. Better to get it checked than worry about it..
