New mole - flaking/crumbling

A couple of weeks ago I noticed a mole on my lower back. I've mostly had to go by feel as I can't see it. There may have been something there previously but it definitely changed in that I could now feel it, it was quite raised and felt kinda wart like. It's now started flacking/ crumbling off - to the point where I wouldn't be surprised if it eventually is gone. I'd say it's about half the size it was (though again, hard to tell by touch only - I have tried to get a clear photo but can't)

My gut is telling me this is something I should get checked? Am I right or will I just be wasting every time time?

TIA

Definitely good to get it checked. It’s probably nothing but the texture change makes it worth seeing your GP.

Sounds like it could be seborrheic keratosis, harmless and generally they won't be removed by the NHS. If it is it may come back. However I wouldn't rely on anything on the web so please get it checked out by your doctor. Much better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks so much! Yes, for peace of mind probably best to check it out. Trying to avoid google 😂
