Microscopic Colitis diagnosis

After suffering for 20 years and having nearly every test going, Im pretty sure I have microscopic colitis. Waiting time to even have first consultation with a gastroenterologist on the NHS is 1.5 years. I was wondering if anyone has paid for a private colonoscopy biopsy for diagnosis and how much this cost?

I had mine via the NHS, in July. I had previously paid for a private gastro appointment and asked at the time, it’s was £2500 privately (that was last year). I could have had the procedure within days but I couldn’t afford it so had to wait.
Can I ask what your symptoms are? I still haven’t had my results back from the two biopsies they took.

I have this and was diagnosed privately but under health insurance. Just ring your local private hospital and ask for a quote
