Bruising around old-ish scar

I burned myself on the iron a couple of months ago. Nothing serious, but left a scar about 1cm x 0.5cm on my wrist. This week the skin around it has suddenly gone purplish. Not sore. Any ideas why this might happen? In the pic it looks more brown, but it's definitely bruise-coloured!

This is just curiosity really, it doesn't hurt and there's nothing that looks worrying. But Dr. Google doesn't help.

I've got a similar scar in similar place from steam burn from a kettle. My scar did exactly what yours has but it's faded over time. Hope this helps 😁
