Red mark on breast

I woke up this morning with a red blotchy mark on my breast, it’s roughly the size of a 20p I suppose with a little bit more half the width of that underneath. It’s to the side of my breast, I don’t have any pain or itching, it’s not raised at all or dimpled, but I’m stressed about what it could be and of
course google led me to the worst scenario. Anyone had similar? Do I need to be concerned? Wondering if it’s just a bruise or something.

Hello! I’m also experiencing this, not that big but mine has little veins in - does yours? Literally also out of nowhere and I’ve bad health anxiety ie thinking of the worst case scenario 🙈 doc told me to wait 2-4 weeks to see will it go & didn’t seem too concerned. Do you have a pic of yours?

DoraDee · 28/08/2023 19:39

Sorry to hear you’re going through this worry too! I also get anxious relating to health particularly. Mines sort of blotchy, my breasts are quite veiny anyway. I’m going to try to get a GP appt in the morning but am worried that I won’t manage because of everyone wanting one after a long weekend or the receptionist insisting on a phone appt! Yes I’ve got a photo of mine, happy to DM if you want to chat?

It's different for you. Get it checked out. You could stick some Sudocrem on overnight to see if it takes it away. However, I'd still get it checked. I'm a former breast cancer patient.

@DoraDee yep, sounds good to me, drop me DM whenever suits you! Love to chat :) it’s never nice this anxious feeling and nice to chat to someone going thru similar things.. :) yes I agree @TheFormidableMrsC defo always better to have a doc look at least, If mine isn’t gonenin a month I’ll be going back again!

@Healthfreak95 I went to the docs with an overnight lump. Mid Feb 2020. She told me it was probably a cyst and not to worry. I insisted on being referred and thank fuck I am an outspoken person because her cyst was actually an aggressive breast cancer that was fortunately caught before it had had a chance to leave my boob. Get it checked, as soon as you can. You've nothing to lose and be insistent with referral to your local breast clinic. I'm 3.5 years in and I'd be dead if I'd listened to my GP.

@TheFormidableMrsC you did right thank god! And how are you now? I’ve actually gotten it looked at by a nurse and GP, just my usual GP is on holidays so I’m seeing her the 28th of this month! My spot is tiny with spider veins, no lumps or armpit lumps found thank god and I also self check regularly. But I’ve made an appt with my usual GP for 4 weeks time and I’ve been told if it changes to go back in for a referral before that. I reckon it’s a blocked hair follicle or pore or some sort. But I’m vigilant and am keeping an eye. Will update.

All good thank you! Glad you're going to be seen. Better to be safe. Good luck!

Hi, sorry to jump on post can't.work out how to start a new thread. I'm a bit co concerned about this red mark/spot that appeared on my breast 4 days ago. Anyone had anything similar. I will book appointments with gp but was wondering if anyone had ideas in the meantime as I'm a little worried. Thanku pic attached

Healthfreak95 · 21/01/2024 15:04

@Leazara82 i don’t see your pic xx I posted on here at the time & mine did go away after about two weeks I’d say but I’m the worst with health anxiety and just had a rash also which I presumed the worst as usual & it’s now also clearing up thankfully so try not to worry although I know how hard that can be. GP will almost always tell you to try a cream for a week or two firstly x

I had a mauve mark, had it checked out, it was nothing. I would get an appointment rolling and see if it fades in the meantime.

That looks sore! Get it checked, it's probably something easily treated but I'd never risk it with boobs (I've had breast cancer). See your GP if you can
