Following on from this, should I worry that DD (21 months) has a mega-snore (and also high cholesterol)?

Not really, unless she has a cold. She does have milk protein intollerance and is currently being weaned back onto dairy, but this has not affected her snoring.

The raise in heart disease is mostly due to sleep apnoea where the sufferer stops breathing in their sleep. You hear the snore stop, and then suddenly start again with a big sort of snort.
Apparently sleep apnoea in children is mostly due to big adenoids.
Dh has really terrible sleep apnoea which is now being treated.
If you're worried talk to her GP about it.

Thanks CMOT - I'll mention it next time I see the GP I think.

I'm glad that you son is now getting treatment.
