Kidney infection?

Hey, I have mild kidney disease. Last egfr in May was 86.

For the past week I've been getting a dull ache on my lower back, to the right. It's not there in the morning but gradually gets worse during the day. By next morning it's gone again. It doesn't feel like a pulled muscle or anything, sort of more internal. It's not super painful but does ache. I don't have any other symptoms, am weeing a lot but I always have done, urine is clear not cloudy but does smell a bit like sugar puffs sometimes (honestly that's exactly what it smells like!)

Do you think it's kidney related? Just don't understand why it's not there at the start of the day.

Will call doctor on Tuesday morning but for now it has me worried. Thank you xxxx

Could be diabetes with the increased passing urine and sugar puff smelling urine. EGFR of over 90 is classed as normal.

Yeah I did wonder but had bloods a few months ago, no diabetes

You’d know if you had a kidney infection - it’s as painful as childbirth

Not always.

Hey what was it then?

Hello, wasn't a kidney infection, I do have endometriosis on my bladder so that's probably what caused it x

How long did your frequent urination last. ? And what did doctor say?
