Could this be conjunctivitis?

My inner lower eyelid is redder in my right eye Vs my left and I woke up to crusting under my eye this morning. As the day has gone on I’ve noticed it feels a bit burny and I’ve had some thick white / pale yellow discharge like eye bogies but more in the right eye.

everything I’ve read says you get bright red eyes? But I haven’t. I am a contact lens wearer but strict about hygiene. Not wearing them today anyway

Quite possibly. Get some chloramphenicol- think you can get it OTC these days. Optrex Infected Eyes is the branded stuff, but there are generic versions of you ask, sometimes.

I had conjunctivitis a few months ago. My eyes were not red, but the pharmacist said that if I was getting crusting every morning, then it was conjunctivitis. They were very watery and itchy. I had to use an ointment for about 5 days, and then it cleared up.

Thank you both. Will see how it is in the morning! It’s a bit uncomfortable to blink at times now too
