I have had every test going in A&E last week, chest xray, several bloods, ecg - all completely fine. Yet for just over 2 weeks I've had pain in my chest upon exertion. At first it was a constant tightness and racing heart, out of breath, it felt like I'd been running after just walking to the car. I'd also get feelings of sudden jolts of pain in my chest. The constant tightness is subsiding and is no where near as bad but still getting pain in the central chest area between my breasts if I go up the stairs quickly, for example. I'm not as short of breath any more either but still getting tired easily. At first I thought I was having a terrible bout of reflux but the gp I saw says it sounds more like anxiety and inflammation of chest wall muscles due to chronic tension. The Dr in A&E said possible viral infection but she wasn't sure. It has been a stressful time recently as I'm waiting on results of a breast needle biopsy (I had the chest pain etc prior to the procedure) so it could well be anxiety but I'm familiar with anxiety and it doesn't normally get worse with exertion. Has anyone had anything similar and managed to figure out what it was? I'm also having nerve issues in both my arms and hands atm, which physio has said is probably ulnar nerve related but could be a nerve in my neck/shoulder. Additionally, when I'm tired and lie down in bed at night I have a strange tremor/fluterring like feeling in my chest too, plus tingling/twitching in my left hand. It's really odd. I don't feel acutely anxious or anything. I'm quite baffled about the whole thing!
