Migraine aura

Always had migraines but more recent years they have lessened in frequency. However recently I have started to get auras only. Starts one side of head. Moves to the other. No real pain and over in 30 minutes.

Had 3 in a row last few days. I’m otherwise well and had bp taken recently and was perfect.

Obviously will go to gp but wondering if it’s my HRT? Maybe my own declining hormones mean I need to change my HRT? Any ideas?

I had my first aura about 10 days after starting HRT and was told it was most likely my HRT and the changing hormones by the hospital (didn't know I was having an aura and was swiftly ushered to hospital for possible stroke!) . My first migraine was definitely triggered by fluctuating hormones at 44. Started HRT at 46.
My first month on HRT was really horrid, lots of migraine side effects. 3 months in and no migraine attacks at all, from 15 a month. And haven't had an aura either.
Not sure if that's at all helpful but thought I'd share. I'd definitely go and speak to a menopause gp / expert. Maybe you need to change the dose?

Thanks that’s helpful. I do think it must be hrt related. Been in hrt fir 2 years no probs but thinking as I age (almost 59!) the levels may need adjustment.
