Get them done at the dentist and then don't drink tea/coffee/red wine or smoke.

MaryAnnSingleton · 29/02/2008 14:59

don't smoke and drink red wine only occassionally and have 2 cups of coffee a day -they are being done at hygienists in a few weeks time, but I'd like to have a daily sparkle...
what about that Colgate weekly clean stuff, anyone tried it ?

A sonicare toothbrush and Janina toothpaste. Also, the right shade of lipstick helps the teeth to look whiter.

PrincessHunker · 29/02/2008 15:31

I went for the drastic "have crowns replaced" method, which I don't recommend unless you enjoy drilling

MaryAnnSingleton · 29/02/2008 15:36

Janina toothpaste ?

Yes, it's brilliant! A lot less frothy than toothpaste and it feels like you have had a dentist clean every day. I love it.

Front top two (currently waiting for new ones to be made - have temporaries on atm). They were crowned anyway, so wouldn't whiten. New crowns will be whiter, so did rest of teeth to match them, rather than having them made a darker shade, the whitening the rest of my teeth at a later stage.

Anna8888 · 29/02/2008 16:22

Braun electric toothbrush using the special whitening head (has a yellow bit in the middle of the brush) twice / three times a day using Elgydium toothpaste - either the standard one (available in Boots) or, even better, the whitening version (you have to buy it in France).

booge · 29/02/2008 16:30

PrincessHunker, I did almost exactly the same (3 crowns replaced) 5 years ago. Best money I've ever spent on myself, I learned to smile with my teeth showing again.

PrincessHunker · 29/02/2008 18:21

Booge, even with the temporaries on (which are nicer than my old teeth [barf]!), I am smilier

charliecat · 29/02/2008 18:22

Blanx toothpaste

loopylou6 · 29/02/2008 19:10

PH and booge, ive ahd exactly the same, i got reeally white crowns made to replace my cacky ones then got all my bottoms zoomed, i know the feeling of having to learn to smile again
