Dizziness when standing for prolonged time

I have hypermobility spectrum disorder and I find when I stand up for a long period, while I also have intense pain, I also feel like I’m going to pass out. This could be honestly if I stand for 20 minutes - I can’t stand still for that long. If I’m moving around it’s fine.

Does anyone know if this could be linked? I’m going to a gig tomorrow and the main act doesn’t even start until 3.5 hours after the doors. No idea how I will manage it.

I don’t get dizzy upon standing, just when I’ve been doing it for a while and I’m always careful not to lock my knees.

POts and hyper mobility are linked.
Compression stockings (or knee length flight socks) can help as can clenching your glutes, eating more salt, staying hydrated and having a drink with electrolyte tablets in before you go.

Avoid standing still - make sure you remember to fidget. Eat crisps or salted peanuts. Stay hydrated- electrolytes a good suggestion.

I thought POTS was dizziness when you stand up? I don’t really get that, I just often feel like I have blood sugar dips or low blood pressure and then when I stand for a while I feel like I’ll faint.

Thank you for the suggestions! I am so stressed about this gig because there’s a million rules about what you can bring in and they won’t let you bring any drink other than an empty water bottle to fill up - and I usually have some kind of sports drink to help.
