Any idea what these bites are from?

These bites appeared on my ankle a couple of days ago, this is what they look like now - very very itchy! Does anyone have any idea what they could be from? I've used bite/sting cream but little effect. Thanks in advance!

Ankle bites generally fleas unless you have been walking in long grass? Try the hot spoon trick, then Antisan.

Thanks @Podgedodge - could be fleas! I have pets so I'll get some flea treatment. I have also walked briefly in long grass at the end of our garden. I'll try your suggestions, thank you for your reply!

Actually, they don’t look like flea bites. Maybe ask local pharmacist, might need piriton or similar. Itch is maddening, hope you get it sorted.

Thank you so much @Podgedodge - the spoon trick really helped with the itching, can't believe I didn't know about it before! Went to pharmacist and he said I have an allergic reaction, and has given me hydrocortisone cream and piritin tablets. Thanks so much for your advice!

I've got a spider bite that looks like the bite on the right of your picture. It's horrid. I've used antihistamine and antiseptic cream. Kept it covered while it was weeping but drying out now.

@TheFormidableMrsC I was wondering if they are spider bites. I've seen a few big spiders scuttling across the floor in the house, and I'm sure there are some in the garden where I've walked with bare ankles.
Sorry for your bite, glad it is getting better now

I am really not sure where this happened. People I know who have been bitten by spiders say it's an sting sensation. So maybe when I was asleep? I live semi rurally and there are a lot of false widows about. I actually noticed this bite while I was at the zoo, so I can't be sure it wasn't a critter from there. It looks a lot angrier than it actually is though.

What did you mean about the spoon idea helped? What was the spoon advice?
