Hi
I'm having a bit of a nightmare health wise but I requested my medical records as I'm currently under 4 different consultants and no one is joining the dots

However it all began with symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis

I became completely immobile and unable to work , and asked 3 times for. Referral to rheumatologist

The doctors were awfully dismissive, one said it can't be because it was in the small joints , another simply dismissed me and said he wasnt arguing

Back in march 2022 my records say the opinion of a rheumatologist should be sought after a blood test

It took until July 2023 to convince a doctor to refer me , since which I've had swelling in my eye and lost my sight
I've undergone lumbar punctures and MRI of the brain ,

The rheumatologist concluded its some form of inflammatory arthritis, but I'm also being investigated now for MS and other things after bloods showed unusual markers

Over 2 years I've lost all mobility. I can't begin methotrexate now because a blood test was positive for TB , had I been referred in march 2022 this may have been picked up and I may still have my sight

There are also several inaccurate entries in my records , things I didn't say or questions I wasn't asked answered as if I was asked them.

I'm hugely grateful for the NHS but they didn't listen to me then and they still aren't now ,
Some entries say I'm insistent I have rheumatoid arthritis when it can't be and just dismiss my concerns

I'm currently having the same issue with the infectious disease consultant who is dismissing the positive blood test for TB and refusing to look at if it's active in the bones causing the damage and problems in my joints

Something has made my optic disc swell in just one eye which is extremely rare .

I'm at the end of my tether . I'm off sick . I'm scared and worried and if I can't work I'm going to lose my house , I've had to hire home help . I can't get a bath, I can't even get off the loo without support . I can't walk , I'm only pain free in bed . I'm having to go ups and downstairs on my bottom.

Should I complain or would that just make matters worse?

I'd apply for ESA and PIP if you are this bad.
Make a list of your complaints and take it to PALS.( The NHS ombudsman).

Thanks

I've just received PiP forms , and have already spoken to PALS but before I had copies of my medical records which show that back in March 22 the advice from the lab who did the bloods was seek the advice of a rheumatologist. That was completely ignored and when I asked a further twice I was dismissed. That's too is in my records .
