I have stomach ache and it's been on/off for weeks. Not bad, just niggling and most noticeable in the mornings. It's mostly upper abdomen. I feel quite burpy and windy with it. And a bit nauseous too.

Thing is .... I NEVER get stomach ache.

I do have anxiety so have put off googling, but did this morning. I'm now wanting to order an online CA125 blood test kit for Ovarian Cancer!

Am I being completely daft?

I do have a doctors appointment for a months time to discuss whether I need my 10 year old myrena coil removed so could wait until then (if I can manage the anxiety!)

Thanks

It sounds more like indigestion.

Oh come on, burping isn't a symptom of ovarian cancer! Try having less fat in your diet and not eating too soon before bedtime.

It must be horrible having health anxiety, I am sorry. I would start by managing the more likely causes such as some sort of gastritis. Small , pain meals regularly, avoid alcohol, caffeine and cigarettes and talk to your pharmacist who can sell you a range of remedies. If that doesn't work ;discuss with your doctor before ordering investigations without context. All the best .

Sounds like mild gastritis or potentially H. Pylori.

See your GP and in the meantime try some Nexium, stay away from Ibuprofen and Aspirin, reduce the amount of acid you eat at breakfast (e.g. Pineapple, Orange although walnuts and melon set my husband’s stomach issues off.

I certainly wouldn’t have jumped straight to Ovarian cancer with those symptoms.

Thanks so being so understanding @yikesanotherbooboo I don't smoke, drink alcohol, have caffeine, eat meat, and have mostly given up sugar. It's the suddenness of it all when I've not changed my diet.

Good idea about the acid @Pollywoddles. I don't eat much acidic food but will keep a check on it.

My DH has "mild gastritis" according to the multiple endoscopy, he is often in agony, lots of things set it off, painkillers, acidic fruit tomatoes, ice cream
Inspite of not being overweight, eating after 6pm, small portions, low fat, veggie none smoker, low alcohol,I was getting pain, burning acid 2 am most mornings. Thought I had a weak LES, then ever symptom of ovarian cancer, for 9 months,on and off. Then the pain was really bad, managed to get GP appointment (not mine) she said UTI, anti biotics,I knew she was wrong, had them before. After 12 days, abx and heavy duty painkillers doing nothing,I went to our local ED, they were brilliant, full work up, including CT with contrast. Nightly heartburn, I have a hiatus hernia. Lower abdo pain and symptoms, prolapsed bladder, and mesenteric fat stranding, nope,no one I know had heard of it, including my best friend whose a ward sister
The mesentery is the layer of yellow fat, that keeps your abdominal organs in place (I've had a lovely flat stomach for many years) it's now lumpy looking in the middle,it's inflamed after having multiple surgeries on stomach area. I also had diverticulosis,so 3 areas of pain,3 separate causes,no ovarian cancer. The Mesenteric fat stranding is incredibly rare.
