I always feel like I'm wasting GP time but I've had this wrinkly discolouration on my eye for a while. There are some visible veins and it's like a wrinkly bit of cling film is on top. Has anyone had anything like this?

No advice but you should see an optician first rather than a GP.

Hi yes I've had a wrinkly bit on my eye - it would sort of blister and then pop and leave a wrinkly bit.

Went to optician and they were unconcerned.

Do go yourself and get it looked at though. But unlikely anything to worry about.

And yy to optician not GP

Mindymomo · 16/08/2023 19:07

Go to an Optician first, they are set up to see any problems with eyes.

Opticians, easier to get an appointment anyway

I had this as an allergic reaction to something. If you suspect it might be that, wash your hands, your eye and face and take an antihistamine.

Possibly conjunctivitis? Is it jellyish? Ask the optician to look at it.

Thank you all…I shall visit the optician,..
