At what point do you ask the Dr's to investigate more?

I have degenerative disk disease. It affects my L5/S1 mostly, causes referred pain into my right hip, and sciatica, mostly down the right side, but it does also sometimes affect my left.
I also have what we think is arthritis in some of my joints. definitely in my right ankle from multiple sprains.
I'm also learning i am probably hypermobile.

I use a walking stick on bad days. Yes i am overweight but when i went for an MRI 8 years ago i was told that made no difference to my mobility.

I'm finding more and more that i'm deteriorating recently, having to spend more and more time recovering if i go out and do anything more active than normal.

Like this week i was out on monday, up and down stairs a bit more than normal did twice as many steps...etc, the last two days i've been floored, yesterday i was just achy, but today i can barely move, my right side sciatica is throbbing, my legs feel wobbly and like they're going to give out on me any minute.

This is ridiculous.. last time i approached the dr they did an x-ray and said 'no change' so i think i need another posting through the MRI.. but i don't know how to fight my corner to push for it this time.. it took me years to persuade them last time as they kept fobbing me off with 'lose weight'.

I've been in pain now for 25 years, i'm tired, and i hurt, and i'm fed up of having to spend days recovering.. i'm only 42 ffs.
