Tummy bug - to eat or not?

I've had a weird tummy bug since the weekend. Started with high temps and cramps and now diarrhoea. Oh and a stabbing headache too.

I haven't eaten since yesterday morning. I'm hungry but feel sick at the thought of eating.

I know official NHS advice is to eat normally but the cramps and diarrhoea seem to have finally settled a bit this morning and I can't bear the thought of kicking them off again.

What should I do, do you think? Wait a bit longer to see if it's finally passed before eating? Try something plain?

It's fine to delay eating. What you can do is get full sugar coke or lemonade, leave it to go flat and sip on that. No harm will
Come from a few days of not eating and this will give you a bit of sugar for energy
Without upsetting your tummy.

Thanks, I think I'll do that. Or get some rehydration sachets. I spoke too soon anyway the cramps and diarrhoea are back with a vengeance

This sounds like covid so maybe a test will be useful.
Rest and fluids are most helpful regardless, then maybe try something bland and light.
