Awful tonsillitis

Agh I'm on day 3 of vile tonsillitis. Can't barely swallow. Or drink. Can't face food. I'm so sick of it. I've got antibiotics and painkillers but it's so awful and not helping yet. Just ranting.... ☹️

You poor thing. It's so horrible makes you feel ill in your whole body not just your throat.
The only thing I can stomach and swallow when like that are thick milkshakes. Then at least there is a bit of food in your tummy so pain killers don't make you more nauseous.

Get some difflam spray - it's an anaesthetic.

Ah that's a good idea. I had one of my son's yoghurt pouches yesterday but it made me feel sick

Gargle solpadiene and then swallow it. That’s what they gave me in hospital when I had my tonsils out.

(obviously do not mix with other paracetamol products)

I had 5 years of constant tonsillitis, they very reluctant to remove them from adults, I was 33 so hardly geriatric. Thirty years ago and I've had 1 sore throat since.

You poor thing. Find the thing that you can stomach....fruit smoothy (no milk product), soup perhaps? Just heat a tiny bit of a can so it isn't wasted.

I managed 3 spoonfuls of mash potato. Agh it's horrible. I've got huge ulcers on my lips too so that makes eating even harder.
