Sore throat for over a week

Started with blocked sinuses and a sore throat over a week ago. Sinuses more or less back to normal. But cannot shake off this sore throat and mild cough. Have been taking ibuprofen which helps but thinking after 9 days should probably ease up on taking that. Anyone any ideas what else I can try, am on holiday so not overly easy access to meds. Just wish it would ease off and disappear now as getting me down.

You might have covid, it seems to linger a bit more than a non covid sore throat and the numbers have spiked the last week or two. I would just take strepsils for some relief and hopefully you should feel better in the next couple of days. If not maybe think about seeing a doctor in case it is a bacterial infection and you need antibiotics?
