CT scan following colonoscopy

I had a colonoscopy end of June. Biopsies taken sue to inflammation but apparently nothing sinister was found. Results back last week showing colitis and to await an outpatient appointment. Just had a call with an appointment for a CT scan tomorrow. Any ideas why I need a the scan ? Panicking a bit

If there is inflammation found in your colonoscopy, they might want to do a CT to see if there is inflammation anywhere else in your intestines. This can help them decide whether it is crohns or colitis (crohns can affect your entire digestive tract).

I'm in the same position. I had a colonoscopy last Wednesday. They couldn't finish it due to pain but found some polyps. I had a phonecall this morning asking me to have a CT of chest/abdomen and pelvis. I'm freaking out a bit

My 2 day old baby had to have Gastrografin for a special X-ray when he was rushed to the NICU. I believe it highlighted his bowel.
He had a normal X-ray but they wanted to be extra cautious so did the special X-ray too with the liquid that highlights perforations etc.

How didyou guys get on ?
I have an abdomen ct scan soon

( had colonoscopy this year too)

I believe gastrograffin highlights anything abnormal.
I had a failed colonoscopy so had a ct scan with GG which showed a narrowing of my colon close to my liver.
