My bones are on fire

I am experiencing pains in my legs where it feels like my bones are burning. It's a relatively new sensation maybe over the past month or two. Doesn't happen every day. Does anyone know what it can be. I feel silly saying those words and I don't want to go to the doctor to say that too.

I had my collar bone burn like a red hot poker on and off for several months. DH thought I was being dramatic but it really hurt.
It turned out to be Vitamin D deficiency. Vitamin D deficiency causes ‘bone pain’ but it felt like a red hot poker to me.
I now take prescription strength vitamin D, in winter when it starts burning again I have to double the dose (after a blood test and Drs instructions) and then the burning stops. I reduce the dose in summer.

Maybe say bone pain when you speak to the dr. I was dismissed when I said my collar bone feels like a red hot poker and I wasn’t tested for Vit D until I saw someone for something else months later and they added it on.

Thank you.

I have psiorasis flaring up now too and apparantly that can be vitamin d deficiency related too.

It's probably vitamin d deficiency.

I was taking supplements for a long time but I got some depression in march and I fell out of my supplement routine and I am not consistent now taking my supplements.

I think I might go to the doctor at some point mid week when I get a chance.

I would say doctors like it if you describe the pain as it feels to you eg feels like burning. That Probably helps them work out the cause. They often ask you to rate it out of 10 so they get your perceived discomfort level.
