Hi all,
I was told to take two sachets of movicol a day for three days to overcome a period of constipation after a bout of diverticulitis. The doc assured me it would be gentle and I could still go to work as usual, but I hadn’t factored in the delay in its onset. I took my first dose Sunday am. I have work on Wednesday.

Is it likely I’ll be ok by then? Will the action be so intense that I can’t work? I already took last week off because of the infection so I’m Feeling a little desperate.

I need to drink heaps of water for it to work

Bluebud · 13/08/2023 13:03

I’ve had around 3 litres today, hopefully that’s enough?

That sounds about right, when I do this it usually works in 24hours is there other issues with you though as it's not working?

Bluebud · 13/08/2023 13:06

It’s only been 8 hours or so, hopefully tomorrow will bring good things.
