I developed horrible sore throat since on Friday with thick green mucous seems to coming from my throat ( it’s there upon clearing my throat, doesn’t take a long time to cought up so assume it’s from my throat as my lungs seems ok atm)
Also lost my voice, have really bad hoarseness and swallowing is a real pain, feel also a bit tired, I think I had low fever too on Monday.
I had a private prescription for Azythromycin 500 which I took for two days on Sunday ( it was 3 days course) but my throat got worse while taking them so I went to my GP yesterday morning and while she looked she said it looks like severe throat infection so gave me Phenomethylpenicilin.
I know I only have this for day two but my throat is still sore, definitely not any better.
Anyone knows how long this starts to work please?
This all started after I ate some mushrooms which I could be possibly allergic to as I also have complex fungus allergy, my throat was suddenly itchy, my nose was running for a few minutes like a tap and then the sore throat started..thinking if this is allergic reaction rather than infection?
