hello, I had a check infection about 3 weeks ago, had antibiotics,
felt ok but still coughing up mucus.

Last Thursday i started to get a slight temp and started taking painkillers.
Saturday I get a pain under my right boob and round to my side, got worse as the day when on and was worse when coughing.

Google suggested pulled muscle from coughing so took painkillers and rested.

Between taking painkillers and sleeping it wasnt till yesterday that i felt better to get up, i missed the slot to ring in to get to see the GP so i managed to have a shower and go back to bed. Today i woke up and gave the GP a call and the receptionist said to go A and E.

I dont want to go and waste their time, i was hoping to see a GP and be in and out.

I know myself i dont like GPs or hospitals and prefer to stay at home.

It’s not wasting their time, the GPs receptionist has triaged you and said you need to go to a&e, so you should go. It won’t help you or the NHS to stay at home until things get worse and you need more help. I hope you feel better soon OP.

@gardenbeachsand
Sorry you're feeling unwell.
If the GP has no appointments available then i'd call 111.
Hope you feel better xx

I think A&E or urgent care is a good bet. You probably need a chest x-ray.
