Broken toe

I have broken the top bones of the middle toe on my right foot. Happened Sunday morning so over 48 hours ago, bruising nicely (most amazing colours). Still can't bend any toes on that foot. Not sure if it's swelling or general anatomy of the foot as to whether that is normal or not. Local minor injuries don't X-ray for broken toes.

Anyone broken the same toe and found the same issue? How long before it was better (only ever broken a little toe and the one next to it and not had this before)

I did this a while ago and i think it took about 5 weeks to fully heal. Have you taped it up?

@Wanderinghome sorry to hear you did similar. They advised me not to strap as my toes are quite close and not much wiggle room anyway. I've got decent slippers to wear around home, not such great options for going out, trainers are ok for a short while. It's just the lack of bend in the 4 non broken ones that is odd to me. Maybe it's normal 😀
