Hygienist Appointments

Has anyone else experienced hygienist appointment rapidly going up in price, yet the service getting less and less?

It used to be that you got a good polish in the appointments. The last two appointments I had ended up being a bit of scrapping and a 15 second polish, reduced from 30 mins to about 12-15 mins. Now they charge £80 for hygienist and if you want an air flow polish it's an extra £25 on top?

I’m definitely getting less service for my money and the price is going up however I’m pretty sure I need less service now then what I did because I’ve been going regularly if you see what I mean?

My hygienist price jumped from £45 to £65 between my last 6 monthly appointments. My appointments are 20 minutes, but other people get 30 minutes for the same price, so I guess it depends how much work is needed.

It's the reduction in polish that annoys me and still having yellow teeth.

Yes - mine is now £63 for 20 mins. I think I could pay £90+ for a longer appointment if I wanted.
