I'm at my wits end.

Mild aching pain started in February on left side between rib cage and hip. Tolerable but noticeable.

Fast forward 6 months, the pain is excruciating, tender to the touch, spasms back, nausea daily and abdominal pain permanently. Appetite is decreasing. Loose bowel movements.

CT scan revealed nothing untoward.

Pelvic scan revealed a 6cm fibroid.

Mirena coil is in situ

Full bloods tomorrow including C125

3 stool samples to do,to test for bowel issues.

I am dragging myself through the day. I feel beyond grim.

I just don't know what to to make myself comfortable. No pain killer works. Buscopan does not work.

Can you get the ct scan looked at/check what it actually looked at?

Runaround50 · 31/07/2023 17:10

As far as I know, it checked liver, ovaries, fallopian tubes, gallbladder kidney and something else ( which escapes me) .

Is a stomach ulcer visible on a CT scan does anyone know?

pancreas?

Runaround50 · 31/07/2023 17:49

Yes it could be the pancreas. No mention of inflammation there. Crikey I have no idea what to do.

If the pain is very bad I would consider going to A+E. I would also honestly ask for another scan or a reassessment of the one that was done.
Has the GP given any indication of what they think it might be?

Runaround50 · 31/07/2023 20:03

I did present at a&e a couple of weeks ago ( with 3 hot water bottles and a sick bowl) Obs were done and ueibe was dip sticked. Promptly told to wait for pelvic scan.

GP said on Friday, either gynae or gastro. Maybe the stool samples/ bloods will reveal something.

I was thinking diverticulitis.

Have you had a colonoscopy?

Runaround50 · 01/08/2023 07:37
