Breast biopsy

Hi about six weeks ago I noticed a lump . Due to family history a week later I had an appointment I was examined, mammogram, ultrasound and a few biopsy’s taken. They left markers in also. I was recalled for further tests as I had calcifications and tests were done whilst in the mammogram machine and more biopsy’s were taken.
it’s not been a fortnight and I have just phoned specialist and his secretary told me the results are benign but I am due to be discussed at a meeting next Tuesdays due to pathology results ? Does anyone have any advice or help ? I am only 41 and have kids I feel this has taken over their whole summer . Thanks

Hi sorry yes his secretary said this morning it was benign but the pathology results were above her pay grade and my name was on the schedule to be discussed next week . As for taking over my summer sorry waiting’s for biopsy results has been at the fore front of my mind . I thought this was a safe space to ask questions and worries

I understand you worry op, and ignore and previously comments, if people have got anything nice to add why do they have to comment... don't understand Mumsnet sometimes Confused

Did they secretary say when the meeting was? Or is there anyone you could speak to, let them know you are worried. It's the worse waiting for results, I went through it a couple of years ago and it was an awful time, but it did all turn out ok.

but you have not made it clear what you are worried about? It is benign?

Thank you so much . She said meeting every Tuesday but I’m not scheduled to be discussed till next Tuesday ? I think because I had one set of biopsies and was recalled for more on the calcification ones I’m just probably overthinking it. His secretary was kind she just said I would hear from them after the meeting. I just wondered what the pathology could show other than cancer that would need discussed . Thank you so much for replying x

It doesn't mean anything, the benign results probably have not even been looked at yet, all results are opened and discussed at meetings
