8 weeks today and I’m feeling so fat and bloated!! I put on half a stone on honeymoon and then found out we were expecting after so started the pregnancy heavier then normal now I’m 10 pounds more than normal. I want to be enjoying the pregnancy but I’m so focused on how my body feels fatter and worrying what it will be like towards the end! Any advice?! I have disordered eating anyway with bingeing and that seems to be much worse currently. Has anyone else felt like this (I don’t want to drive my husband mad either by going on about this!!) any advice would be helpful!!

My no1 advice is to throw the scales away. You don't want to be monitoring your weight right now, just try not to think about it at all. I say this as someone who used to have eating problems.

Right now you're growing a baby, you've got to be eating enough and the right sort of stuff to grow a healthy baby, that's it. I balloon in pregnancy and put on more than average but that's because I end up having water retention. You'll lose it again after the birth - worry about it then (if ever)

I agree with previous pp. stop weighing yourself. They will do it at the appointments. Just relax and eat healthy as that's important for the baby's development. And exercise suitable way. Smile
